On Saturday 14th March Fran Jeffery completed the 45th Haworth Hobble: a 31mile category BL fell race across the wild moorlands of the Brontës. Starting in the village of Haworth, the route takes in sweeping moorland vistas, blue reservoirs and the Yorkshire towns and villages of Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Heptonstall, as well as visiting the Stoodley Pike monument and the famous ruined farmhouse of Top Withens.
Well stocked checkpoints staffed by smiley marshals kept competitors well fed throughout the race and Fran finished – still smiling – in 8 hours 28.
